Volunteer Programe
We have a volunteer programe, if you are a dog lover and want to help us and our furry friends, spend some quality time and enjoy Skiathos at the same time then please see contact us by clicking on the button.

During the month of January we had two girls here from Denmark as part of our volunteer programe. Shortly we will post some pictures from their time at the shelter and share their story here.

Lucy - I volunteered at Skiathos dog shelter over the summer. It was a very rewarding experience and would highly recommend! The dogs are so loving and all have unique personalities. The team are very supportive and well experienced, giving lots of different opportunities to get involved with activities at the shelter from playing and feeding the dogs to working in the shelter shop. They need all the support they can get and are well deserving! I loved my time at the shelter and hope to go back soon!

Bring your skills
Perhaps you have skills that could be useful at the Shelter?
Veterinarians, Veterinary Nurses, builders, carpenters and other building skills are always useful, (but please contact us to discuss what you can do before you pack your bags.)
We are also interested in photographers, film makers, artists and anyone who can do something a little bit special.
Bring things
The Shelter is always in need of kitchen roll, cleaning products (no bleach though), cat food (wet and dry), dog meat and various other things.
The shelter tries to update this section on a regular basis in case there is a greater shortage of something.
