Lucky has been chosen for the second year round and that’s because Lucky is a gorgeous gentle giant and quite the character!

Lucky arrived at the shelter as a puppy almost 2 years ago. Found by a local on the Island of Volos in a garbage bin, he was bought over by his saviour who knew that he would be well cared for by the Skiathos dog shelter – Lucky seemed a fitting name.

​

Lucky has such a beautiful nature, he will happily and excitedly putting his head through his harness ready for his walk, whereby he will calmly and gently stroll by your side, not phased by other dogs. This is also where his hilarious character comes out and you often see him lying flat on his side, stubbornly refusing to move if he’s not done with walking or simply wants longer to soak up his surroundings.

Unless there is a treat involved and then he will happily follow your command, that is until he realizes that there are no treats left.

Lucky is very affectionate boy and loves a cuddle. He would make a wonderful, loyal and loving companion – someone will be Lucky to have him
