Hera
Hera,
Called after the Greek goddess of women, she is a great, feisty representative! Hera is an affectionate dog, with lots of love and cuddles to go around for the whole family!
Don’t let the barking fool you - although she might tell some of the dogs off, she is warm and loving towards the humans, both children and adults. She is a former farm dog, but don’t let her near your chickens - as she enjoys them too much. At the shelter, she shares a pen with her boyfriend Fergal, whom she teaches to be a kind and playful dog, and that humans are trustworthy and good to have around.
Aston lives up to his name - he is one of the top hounds at the shelter!
This energetic boy will keep you moving during walks. While outside, he is focused on taking in his surroundings and all the available smells - with his turbo engine on.
He is one of the more confident and independent hounds, but also enjoys a nice cuddle once he gets to know you. He is very athletic, and enjoys a good run - as long as you put in some breaks for sniffing and a quick wee. Aston would love to have his own garden and toys, and if you put in the time, he would be both your hiking- and sofa-buddy for life.
